Bill Church

Senior Associate

Bill joined BAM Architects in 2001, bringing with him over ten years of professional skill, knowledge and experience. With BAM, he has served as Project Architect on a wide variety of individual projects that include adaptive reuse, corporate and new construction work, both commercial and residential. He has also maintained on-going relationships with several of BAM’s repeat clients by providing interior design and construction administration services on an as-needed basis.

Prior to beginning his tenure at BAM, Bill worked as a Project Manager with Art & Architecture in Petersburg, Virginia, and with Baskervill & Son in Richmond where he gained extensive design experience in the fields of healthcare and electronic technology. Earlier in his professional career, Bill worked overseas in Zurich, Switzerland, where he focused on smaller scale projects, both commercial and residential.

With an analytical mind, keen eye and extensive practice with both domestic and international projects, Bill is the resident oracle of construction details. He’s the guy to whom the rest of the firm looks to answer the question: “so…how does this really work?” Thirty seconds and one free-hand sketch later, he’ll provide the answer complete with a thorough explanation, optional approach and preferred material palette. And that free-hand sketch will be to scale.
