Giles Harnsberger is BAM Architects’ resident urban planner. A natural born facilitator with a knack for the Spanish language, Giles specializes in interface with the public, neighborhood groups, and local agencies in Richmond, Virginia. Giles earned a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning from Virginia Commonwealth University, and her undergraduate degree at Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts.
As an employee of BAM Architects, Giles manages the nascent non-stock corporation Storefront for Community Design, the purpose of which is to bring architectural and urban planning service resources to Richmond’s home and business owners, civic groups, and other organizations. Consistent with BAM’s mission to raise the bar of design excellence in the capital city, Giles works to bring better public spaces and higher quality design to Richmond communities. She enjoys riding her bicycle around town, and still needs to buy a helmet.
